Even a Little Makes a Difference.

spiritual Aug 11, 2020

Here is a parallel to the particle principle. Many years ago, there was an NBA basketball game between the Chicago Bulls and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Michael Jordan and Stacey King both played for the Bulls. On this night I am certain that both teammates wanted to win, they both had a desire to be victorious. Michael Jordan played incredibly that night as he scored 69 points; it was one of his best games ever. His teammate and center for the team that night was Stacey King who scored one point. That night the Bulls barely made it to overtime and then they won in overtime by four points. Without Stacey King’s one point in regulation, the Bulls would not have gone into overtime. Stacey King was interviewed after the game that night and he said, “I’ll always remember this as the night that Michael Jordan and I combined for 70.”
In truth, Michael Jordan carried the team that night, but that mere single point was necessary for a Bulls victory. The Lord teaches us this principle over and over again. When you do your part—even your little part— results are altered by the hand of God. When you exercise even a particle of desire, God will instill in you something wonderful. On this night with the Bulls, the particle of desire was the one point by Stacey King and his teammate did the rest.
