My sweet daughter Holland taught me a powerful principle one day in a discussion with my wife as she was playing with the home phone. My wife walked in the room and Holland was playing with the phone a little aggressively. My wife said, “don’t play with that.” My daughter responded by saying, “I need to get a hold of someone. I am just trying to call someone.” My wife said, “you don’t need to call someone.” “Yes, I do,” she said, “I am trying to call you. I need you!”

We need God. We need to call upon God. We desperately need His mercy and His love and His arms of mercy in our lives.
