The agency of man, the Atonement of Jesus Christ, the ability to strengthen, and the desire to quickly forgive are all blessings that are rooted in the love of God. When we know who we are and that God loves us, we can draw power and peace from that knowledge.

In answer to my son Talmage’s profound question, “Why doesn’t Heavenly Father want us to do bad things?” I give you these thoughts. Love is not found in sin. Love is not found in wickedness. Love is found in obedience. Love is found in wholesome reciprocity. Love is found in sacrificing our desires for Godly desires. Love is found in treasuring principles with promises. Love is found in Christ. When we recognize and realize we have the strength to take action, there is not greater act of love than following this invitation: “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
